Jules Verne in honor of the BMC

Monique Calixte Library has chosen the month of February which brings the birthday of Jules Verne to showcase its collection of books by this author French who scored Literature and early adventures of fictional literature. BMC invites readers to discover or rediscover Verne's novels, which are not read enough, and yet still live to share travel stories that lead us to unknown horizons.
From Wednesday 16 to Friday 25 February, the public will have the opportunity to see on display, the various titles by Jules Verne part of library holdings and other securities which relate to the themes developed in novels.
A poster exhibition will resume his biography, all his publications, the novel Verne and anticipating scientific and a history of some scientific inventions mentioned in his works.
A reading incentive will be made Friday, February 18 at 3hours pm in the annex to the library by Stéphane Saintil, a member of the Reading Club of the BMC.
On Saturday 19 February at 11hres the morning activity of drawing and crafts, related to the theme of the invention, will be held with children. It will be followed by a screening of "Journey to the Center of the Earth," an adaptation of the Jules Verne novel of the same name starring Brendan Fraser.
