Projected work of young photographers on the memory of places
10 students from the National School of the Arts (ENARTS) worked with the photographer and educator Belgian Jean-Marc Vantournhoudt around the memory of places in the capital before and after the earthquake that struck the metropolitan area. All this week, they continue the work started in August 2010. Festival jazz Port-au-Prince
jazz festival will be Port-au-Prince from 19 February to end next February 26 the theme of "Haiti stronger and jazz." It will be the fifth edition of the festival, which has to welcome several artists from the land located in the continental U.S. and Europe: Germany, Brazil, Chile, Spain, U.S., France, Mexico. In memory of many human rights violations committed during the 30-year Duvalier dictatorship until the fall of their regime, 7 February 1986, the Support Group for Returnees and Refugees (GARR) held this Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at its premises Christ King Street, a panel discussion on the theme: "Hiring and migration forced during the Duvalier regime. Workshop solid waste management

Thursday, February 10, the project team of waste management Martissant participated in the workshop organized by the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications (MTPTC) on management of solid waste in the metropolis. This workshop aimed to bring together NGOs and private organizations working in the field to gather the fruits of their field experiences.







Since 2006, the MTPTC created a cell of solid waste management. It brings together mayors, the Metropolitan Department of Solid Waste Collection (SMCRS), the private sector and NGOs. This unit's mission is to improve the critical situation of waste management in the country, particularly focusing on coordination and work on a study to find solutions to existing problems throughout the national territory ...
